This is the shocking moment a ‘rude' tourist washed their dirty slippers in a hotel pool in the Philippines.

The unidentified middle-aged woman was with her husband when they were spotted at the five-star beachfront hotel in Boracay on May 14.

But while they looked like any ordinary couple enjoying a vacation, another guest said she was disgusted when the woman suddenly stopped to clean her dirty feet in the water.

Footage shows the holidaymaker dipping her footwear onto the pool while her husband stood beside her.

Onlooker Gillian Uy said: ‘I think they were a Korean couple. Who knew what dirt she was trying to remove? Many people swim there at night. Doing that was very rude.'

After cleaning her slippers, the couple then walked away like nothing happened.
