A kind computer technician used a 25ft-tall bamboo ladder to save a cat trapped on a roof.

Pichit Sittakcom and his colleague passed by a neighbourhood during fieldwork and saw a resident trying to calm a crying feline in Tak province, Thailand on May 24.

The technicians stopped by to help and Pichit's friend volunteered to climb up the high structure to extract the creature.

Footage shows the technician reaching his hand under the roof and pulled the kitten out before climbing down the ladder together.

Pichit said: ‘The neighbour asked us for help because the cat had been there for three days and no one could take it. The roof was too high. But we have a ladder used for work so we helped.'

The feline was exhausted and starving after being rescued. It was fed and given water.

It was unhurt without injuries and later adopted by the resident who first saw it.
