A kind construction worker saved two birds trapped in wet cement on a building's roof.

Piranthon Chitchak noticed a creature struggling to flap its wings to escape from the mixture lain onto an ongoing rooftop renovation in Bangkok, Thailand on May 22.

Footage shows Piranthon using a pole to fish out a crow. He placed the bird on the ledge and went on to take a second bird that was submerged in cement.

The good Samaritan cleaned up the two birds and let them dry before the animals left on their own.

He said: ‘I feel sorry for them. The area used to be dry and the birds like to hang around because the building is high. They might have failed to notice the cement and were caught. It is dry now, thankfully.'
