STORYLINE:
An eight-day seminar on the high-quality development of the marine economy opened Wednesday in east China's Xiamen.
It gathers 30 senior government officials from 26 countries, including Brazil, Venezuela and Nigeria.
They will exchange experience in sectors related to the marine economy during the seminar.
Field trips will also be organized.
