Trade Unionists assembled outside King's Cross station against proposed plans to close up to 1000 railway ticket offices in the next three years, with potential job losses for 2300 people (July 13).

General Secretary of the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union Mick Lynch, said that: 'We [the union] will never bend the knee to this Tory government', as rail users and disability action groups reacted furiously to the news of potential closures.

Independent MP for Islington North Jeremy Corbyn and Labour MP for Poplar and Limehouse Apsana Begum also spoke at the event.
