"At 23 years old, we were pregnant with our first baby," Marisa said. "What’s crazy is that our gender reveal got cancelled due to a power outage in my community that day. My boyfriend and I had already picked up the cake and decided we would just cut it together with no party.

"We went to his friend's house where a few of our friends that were close by showed up, even though it was a last-minute, spur-of-the-moment kind of thing.

"My boyfriend wanted a boy so bad and I was in between. Once we cut that cake, our reactions said it all. We both fell in love knowing we were having a son and fell even more in love with each other for doing it together."
