a number of personnel from the Padang city rescue team worked hard to save two people belonging to the elderly who had a stroke surrounded by floods, Friday 14 July 2023. The two elderly are a 65 year old male and a 61 year old female who are in the East Padang area, Padang City.

Both of them had to be rescued because each of their houses had been filled with flood waters up to a height of 60 centimeters.

the head of the operational session of the Padang rescue team, Mahmud, said "we saved the two of them by carrying them because of a stroke, for a while we put them in a neighbor's house which was not affected by the flood."

the rescue team continued to carry out residents in the affected city of Padang reaching thousands of people by lowering a number of rubber boats.
