NDRF Rescues Five People Trapped in Flooded House in Himachal Pradesh, India

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) successfully saved five individuals who were trapped in a flooded house after heavy rainfall caused a river to swell in Himachal Pradesh, northern India. The incident occurred in Charudu village, Kullu district, on July 9.
Video footage depicted the NDRF officials diligently carrying out the rescue operation, utilizing an anchored rope and harness to assist one of the individuals in crossing the turbulent river. Despite the ongoing rain, the officials remained undeterred in their efforts. The rescued man safely made his way to the other side of the river, having been rescued from the inundated building.
The water level in the Beas river rose significantly due to heavy rainfall in Mandi and Kullu districts, resulting in flash floods and landslides in various areas. Falling stones along the Kullu-Manali road have led to restricted traffic movement from Kullu to Manali.
