The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) swiftly responded to the distress call of a pregnant woman and her family trapped in a water-logged area in Uttarakhand, northern India. The incident occurred in the Adarsh Colony area of Laksar, Haridwar district, on July 14.

Video footage depicted the remarkable rescue operation carried out by the SDRF officials. With great care, they escorted the pregnant woman through the water and safely onto a lifeboat. The officials ensured her secure boarding before departing from the area. Upon receiving information from the police, SDRF commandant Manikant Mishra directed a relief and rescue team to the location. Led by ASI Pravindra Dhasmana, the team successfully rescued the woman and her family. The pregnant woman was later transported to the hospital via ambulance.

In total, the SDRF officials rescued seven individuals, including children named Payal and Devika, aged 10 and nine years respectively, along with other adult family members.
