Hindu devotees adorn a statue of Lord Krishna with red tomatoes, hoping that the ritual will help reduce the price of vegetables across India. Bloomberg has reported that the country has witnessed a 700% increase in tomato prices due to a nationwide shortage caused by heavy rainfall.

The celebration was held at a temple in Rajasthan state's Beawar district
on the occasion of the month of Shravan, the fifth month of the solar year.

Sumit, the person who filmed this video, said: "It's very difficult for people to buy vegetables, especially tomatoes".
