This is the amusing moment a pair of alpacas with stylish hairdos cooled off in front of an electric fan amid the summer heat in Japan.

Footage shows the white alpaca named Suzumi sporting a Justin Bieber-style hairdo, gazing into the camera while its fluffy locks fluttered in the breeze at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture on July 19.

Another clip shows the 'handsome' dark brown alpaca Chappie flashing a cheeky smile as the refreshing wind tousled its brunette hair.

It came during temperatures of up to 37 degrees in the capital Tokyo today, with the government issuing heatstroke alerts in 23 of the nation's 47 prefectures.

Alpacas are native to the Andes Mountains of South America with the majority of the world's alpaca population found in Peru.

They were first domesticated by the Incas over 5,000 years ago. They were used for their fiber, which is soft and warm. Alpaca fiber is used to make a variety of products, including sweaters, hats, scarves, and blankets.
