A father performed an epic gender reveal with an overhead bicycle kick as the whole village watched.

Teejay Panganiban said he and his wife Katrece chose the stunt as he was a former athlete and now a sports coach.

Footage shows the soon-to-be-father leaping into an awesome acrobatic strike. He hit the ball, which burst into blue powder in Batangas province, the Philippines on July 15.

The soccer ball was thrown to him by six-month pregnant Katrece, who turned teary-eyed after learning she will soon have a baby boy.

First-time parent Teejay said: ‘My wife is so supportive of me, and so we agreed to have a sports-themed gender reveal.'

The couple's friends, relatives, and neighbours cheered with them as they celebrated the soon-to-be first baby boy.

Teejay added: ‘My wife's family and mine only have nieces. Our son will be the first nephew. So everyone was so excited and emotional.'

Supportive loved ones hugged to congratulate the couple and Katrece was handed the framed ultrasound results confirming the baby's gender.

Teejay said: ‘We are so excited to finally meet our first baby.'
