While en route to the hospital, Marichelle Bayaras, from Oxbow, Canada, unexpectedly gave birth to her baby inside her car. The police noticed the couple's accelerated pace on the road and promptly escorted them to the nearest hospital.

Heartwarming footage filmed on July 6, shows the mother cradling her son in her arms, the umbilical cord still connecting them, inside the vehicle. The footage also shows the adorable child peacefully sleeping, just four days after entering the world.

"My contractions started at 6 am. I couldn't handle the pain anymore. My husband was about to go to work and we decided to drive to the hospital at 6.30", Marichelle told Newsflare.

"While my husband was driving, my contractions were every minute. He told me not to push because he didn't know what to do, but I told him the baby's head was coming out, and I could feel it. He was born at 6.55 am".

Kenj is Marichelle's second child. She said she was in shock when she saw him.

"It was the most unforgettable moment of our lives. We smiled when we saw our boy safe and healthy", the baby's mother said.

On July 6, at 3:00 am, I couldn't sleep, and I felt like I was experiencing labor, but I could still manage the pain. Then suddenly, it stopped, so I went back to sleep. Around 6:00 am, I started experiencing contractions every 3-5 minutes and couldn't handle the pain anymore. My husband was about to go to work, but I told him, "I think this is labor," because I didn't experience this with my firstborn. They put an epidural on me, so I did not go through labor with my first child. So we decided to drive and go to the nearest town hospital, which was 45 minutes away from our town. At 6:30 am, we drove, and while my husband was driving, my contractions were every minute, and I couldn't even handle the pain. My husband was telling me not to push because he didn't know what to do, but I told him the baby's head was coming out, and I could feel it. I didn't know what to do at that time; I tried not to push, but I couldn't stop it, so I tried to push just once, and then, yeahhh... I was in shock when I saw him, especially when he cried. I cried when I heard him cry... We were speeding, and the police saw us, but they realized the urgency, so the police just opened his window and escorted us to the hospital. Big thanks to him.

Five minutes after I delivered my baby boy, we arrived at the hospital... It was the most unforgettable moment of our lives. Hubby was in shock too, and we just smiled when we saw our boy safe and healthy.
