A kind teacher fished out a fallen dog from a dirty well in Thailand.

Joe was supervising student scouts when they heard the pooch whimpering in Nakhon Ratchasima province on June 29.

He and a colleague searched for the sound in the area until they discovered the trapped black creature on the bottom of the hole.

Footage shows the crying dog under the well that had about 10-inch deep of dirty water. The scout teacher Joe then climbed down and reached for the dog before pulling it up to safety.

His friend Yaowaluck Phongpin said: ‘We were relieved that the water was not too deep or else the dog would have drowned. I am proud of my co-teacher. He didn't mind the dirty water to save the dog.'

The good Samaritan's colleagues sprayed clean water on him to clean up while the pooch ran back to the village after being saved.

The well was also covered to avoid stray animals from falling down again.
