Two people were spotted cooling off in a famous fountain in Antwerp. With camping chairs and plastic fishing rods they were playing a children's fishing game.
The Lambermont monument was erected in 1912 on the Lambermontplaats in Antwerp for Baron Auguste Lambermont. L. Grandmoulin designed the monument, a combination of a statue and a fountain, in neo-baroque style. A boat is depicted in the centre, crowned by a winged sculpture group. Two seated figures are depicted on the side wings. In 1988 the memorial was protected as a monument.
It is not known whether such behaviour is normal or frowned upon in Belgium.
