The filmer told Newsflare: "It began yesterday with the first storm yielding multiple tornado warnings and loudly screaming sirens. This was followed by so far 12 hours of lightning that literally is flashing every few seconds all night with no breaks.

"It is the most intense electrical storm I have seen so far only rivalled by the lightning flashes of the Quad State Supercell and Tornado.

"When morning arrived I woke up to a moment of silence immediately followed by a buzzing sound then a loud boom as a positive lightning bolt struck my house a few minutes ahead of the approaching storm that is so far yielding historic localized flooding in my town of Paducah, Kentucky prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Extreme Flash Flood Emergency.

"It has been a nuts 24 hours."
