Children in Remote Areas, Boys and Girls Cheerfully Climbing and Hanging on a Wooden Hut

A number of children in Sinaka Hamlet, Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, climb and hang on to a wooden hut on the seafront.
They look happy, cheerful and fearlessly playing. They often do this activity to fill their time and holidays, because there is no other means of playing except the sea.
Sinaka Hamlet is an isolated remote area. There are no telecommunication facilities, no internet network, even electricity only comes from solar energy, so it is very limited. As a result, they rarely watch television.
It is also difficult for the children of Dusun Sinaka to get an education. They often row their own boat to school for 30 minutes. The majority of children under the age of 10 also suffer from a lack of reading material.
