Footage shows the Taal Volcano in the Philippines this morning as officials continue to monitor tremors that have been ongoing for two days.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that volcanic tremor at the volcano started on July 20. The tremor is a continuous seismic signal that lasts minutes to days in duration and is caused by the movement of magma or other fluids within the volcano.

PHIVOLCS maintained Alert Level 1 over the volcano, in Batangas province, which means that there is low-level volcanic unrest. However, the agency warned the public to stay away from the volcano island and the Taal Volcano Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ).

They said the tremor has been accompanied by 14 volcanic earthquakes and 11 low-frequency earthquakes, which are caused by the movement of magma or other fluids within the volcano.
