An anthracite base in north China's Shanxi has been studying the production of materials for sodium-ion battery, to reduce cost of production and realize industrial transformation in the pursuit of environmental protection and innovation.

"We are now in the workshop of Huayang New Material Technology Group Co., Ltd. in Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. It used to be the largest anthracite production base in China."
 
The company has undergone a transformation shifting from anthracite to sodium-ion battery material, which greatly reduces battery production costs, and has become one of the first companies to pass the evaluation in sodium-ion battery in China.
