Police officials came to the aid of a bus that had gotten stuck along with its passengers while crossing a river in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

This happened in the Mandawali region in Bijnor on July 22.

According to a report, the bus was headed from the Nepal border to Haridwar with 40 passengers inside. This happened when it was trying to cross the area.

The bridge nearby was damaged since 2016 and since then, vehicles commute using the ramp underneath. This bus got stuck after heavy rainfall led to an increase of water level in the area.

The crane eventually was successful in rescuing the bus and the panicked passengers inside it. Fortunately, no one was injured.
