Indian congress workers in Uttar Pradesh held a candlelit march on July 22nd to protest the government's handling around violence against women in light of a video from the eastern state of Manipur.

Congress workers took out a candle march at 6:30 pm from the stone church in Prayagraj. In the protest they surrounded the central government office and demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Modi.

The march was in response to a video showing a mob of men who had stripped two women naked and marched them in public in the state of Manipur, which has been plagued by violent tribal conflict in many areas.

Today, Congress workers took out a candle march at 6:30 pm from the stone church Prayagraj, the candle march was taken out in protest against the government and to protest against the incident in Manipur, hundreds of workers participated in this demonstration, before the demonstration there was heavy rain and wind due to which the candle could not be lit, then later the Congress workers protested by lighting mobile torches in their hands, in the protest they surrounded the central government and demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Modi as well
