An exhibition of handicrafts to celebrate Egyptian National Day has attracted a lot of exhibitors and visitors at Freedom Park in Cairo.

Exhibitors praised the help they get from the Enterprise Development Agency.

"The Enterprise Development Agency is now helping us to go out to broader horizon and get to know the audience in a better way."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Arabic): TALAAT IBRAHIM HARFI, Arabesque exhibitor
"The Enterprise Development Agency brings craftsmen so that they can present their products in front of people, and show their talents and their new works because there is development. What you are showing now will not be the works of the next exhibition and so on."

Under the title "Cairo Handicrafts Exhibition," the event witnessed large participation of handicrafts and heritage artists in Egypt and the artists of Al-Fawakhir village with carpet products, embroidery on textiles, tents, copper products, and Khan El-Khalili products.

There was also wide participation of handmade natural leather products, furnishings, silver accessories, precious stones, trays, wooden antiques, crochet, clothes, porcelain, and pottery.

Exhibitors said that the exhibition activities represented an important platform for them to meet with the public, and thus a greater opportunity to display products.

"The exhibition is a way to know the market and the needs of the market. And people can know more about the existing exhibitors and designers. Of course, it's a good market and people know us more."
