A doting husband with 'Hulk' hands due to a rare medical condition still manages to help his wife with housework.

Mark Davidson Jacildo, 26, was born with a rare congenital deformity macrodactyly that caused his fist, fingers, and palms to bulge ten times larger than their normal size.

But despite his disfigurement, the father-of-one battles to live a normal life with his wife Jelai, 22, and their nine-month-old daughter in Manila, the Philippines.

Footage shows the Mark building Jelai a make-up dresser on April 3. He carefully put the screws in place until the DIY furniture was completed.

The dad said: ‘I am a very responsible father despite my condition. I work hard to become successful in life.

‘I also hope to inspire others that nothing can stop them from doing what they love.'

Mark added his family helped him become comfortable with his medical condition, so he grew up with the same mindset as an able-bodied person.

He said: ‘Whenever we had family gatherings, they treated me like a normal kid, so I didn't question myself growing up.

‘But I also encountered people who compared me to cartoon characters with big arms, like Hulk or Popeye. I tried not to let them affect how I would view myself.'

Mark's wife-of-two-years Jelai said she is proud to have a kind and loving husband.

She said: ‘I didn't know about his condition at first. I knew him first online until I saw him in person. But his personality is so great and he's different compared to my past relationships. I love it when we hold hands during dates. His hands are warm and soft.'

Although macrodactyly is untreatable, the growth can be controlled with surgery. However, Mark said he doesn't focus on his condition.

He said: ‘I want to become a successful entrepreneur and motivational speaker. I don't want to see my hands as the problem.'

Macrodactyly is a rare medical condition that causes feet and hands to become abnormally large to the overgrowth of bone and soft tissue. It affects only one in every 100,000 live births.
