An incredibly rare Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse 'L'Or Rouge', allegedly worth around £5.5 million (50 million yuan) and one of only four of its kind globally, was involved in a road accident with a BMW 225i in the bustling city of Suzhou in eastern China's Jiangsu Province on July 22.

The expensive supercar, characterised by its unique red ceramic open-top paintwork, reportedly tried to forcefully change lanes from the left without consideration for other road users, leading to the collision with the BMW.

The driver of the BMW, who was travelling on the far right lane and maintained his course, confirmed that the collision occurred when the Bugatti owner aggressively continued to change lanes despite not being given room to do so.

Following the incident, traffic police were called to the scene to assess the situation. After a thorough investigation and negotiation, the authorities found the Bugatti driver entirely at fault for the accident.

Internet rumours suggest that the particular model of Bugatti involved in the crash is an exclusive version of the Grand Sport Vitesse 'L'Or Rouge'.

Reportedly, there are only four of this convertible variant globally, with just two sporting the striking black and red colour scheme, making this incident all the more extraordinary.
