Brazen monkey climbs inside moving car to steal food
This is the astonishing moment a brazen monkey climbed inside a moving car to steal food.
Footage shows the cheeky macaque rampaging through the sedan before taking off with a box of snacks in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on June 3.
Shocked passenger Krissada Mamin said the primate had emerged from nearby trees then leaped through the vehicle's open window.
She said: 'I was driving with my partner when the monkey came into the car. It was like a carjacker thief just taking whatever it wanted. We were quite scared because it was very aggressive.'
Thailand is home to a large population of wild monkeys, with the most common species being the crab-eating macaque. They are found throughout the country but have congregated in tourist destinations where they are often fed by visitors.
Conservationists believe there could be up to two million wild monkeys and the population is rising.
