Two youths on a motorcycle got trapped after they attempted to cross a swollen river in northern India's Rajasthan.

This happened at Ubeshwar Ji Marg Army Campus of Udaipur on July 25.

Visuals showed the youths barely holding for dear life as they stood in the raging water. They clung to each other and held on to a pillar with the water flowing with a strong current. According to a report, the youths were later successfully rescued by the Civil Defence team with the help of a hydraulic crane. The bike they were riding got washed away but was recovered later on. It was learnt that both youths were stuck for an hour. Officials were seen taking out the motorcycle from the water with the help of a rope.

This happened amidst heavy rainfall which continued to lash the state of Rajasthan. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has made a prediction of similar rainfall to take place in the state in the next day as well.
