A toddler chosen as the ring bearer made an amusing entrance to the wedding - falling asleep while riding a toy car down the aisle.

Footage shows the one-year-old coin bearer Seijun Kai sitting inside the vehicle at the Christian ceremony in Calabarzon, the Philippines on June 3.

The youngster's naptime coincided with the wedding schedule and the boy gave in to his natural instincts.

He dozed off before the guests could walk to their chairs and Seijun - with the wedding coin secured in a white pillow in front of him - went to his spot on the cool white toy car.

His father Raldrich Oracion said: ‘The event became more lively because of my boy. It was a memorable wedding for all of us.'

Seijun's mum Yellah Joyce said she operated the remote-controlled electric car from her seat to help the boy with his ring bearer duties.

She said: 'Seijun saw supposed to be smiling and waving for the big moment. Instead, he was just napping. It was really funny.'
