Passengers heroically saved mother and daughter during a sudden windstorm in eastern China.

The video was filmed at Yantai Railway Station in Shandong Province on July 25.

A sudden, severe storm swept across Yantai, Shandong, on July 25th, causing panic and fear among the locals. At the railway station, the gusty winds were so powerful that they knocked several passengers off their feet, causing chaos in the corridor.

In one terrifying incident, a mother and daughter were swept off their feet by the howling gales. The child was forced to crouch down on the ground as the mother struggled against the winds, slipping and sliding dangerously close to a glass barrier just a few dozen metres away.

Taking shelter from the rain in the luggage storage area, these passengers spotted the precarious situation. Without a moment's hesitation, they dashed out into the storm, braving the harsh weather to rescue the mother and daughter.

Together, they managed to pull the terrified pair into the safety of the building, averting what could have been a dreadful accident.

The Yantai Meteorological Bureau had issued an orange warning for heavy rain at 2:30 PM that day, with local thunderstorm gusts ranging from 7 to 9 on the Beaufort scale.

The Jinan Railway Customer Service Center staff confirmed that the area where the windstorm occurred was a connecting zone between the indoors and outdoors, with the adverse weather causing this hazardous situation.

据悉，当天14时30分烟台市气象台于发布了暴雨橙色预警信号，局部伴有7～9级雷雨阵风。
7月26日，济南铁路客服中心工作人员称，出现狂风的位置是室内与室外连通的区域，该情况主要是恶劣天气影响造成的。
