This footage was filmed and produced 25 July 2023.

On 25 July 1992, the Meeting of Afro-descendant Women was held in the Dominican Republic, which gathered together 300 women from 32 Latin American countries to define strategies for political advocacy and create partnerships to confront racism from a gender perspective. For this reason, this date was then declared as the International Afro-descendant Women’s Day, which is also known as the International Afro-Latin American, Afro-Caribbean and Diaspora Women’s Day.

This footage shows celebration of the International Day of Latin American and Caribbean Black Women, the eighth edition of the Black Women's March of Sao Paulo held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event brought together hundreds of women and began at Praca da Republica, in the center of the capital, with cultural and political interventions. The group walked to the municipal library "Hemeroteca Mario de Andrade".
