A rescue crew drilled through a building's wall to pull out a stray kitten stuck inside.

The volunteers responded to a report that the moggie was trapped in a three-storey commercial building in Chonburi, Thailand at 9:30 pm on July 20.

The building owner Wanakorn Singkhon, 57, said she had been hearing the feline crying since the previous night and called the team when the sounds persisted the following day.

With her permission, the rescuers drilled through the wall and stuck a small camera inside to pinpoint the kitten's location. When they finally spotted it huddled next to a pillar, they reached through the hole and pulled it out.

The white moggie appeared scared and exhausted but uninjured.

Wanakorn said: 'I've been hearing the kitten crying for hours. I was scared it might die so I called for help.'

Volunteer Alongkorn Payak Burapha said the mission was a success thanks to the owner who allowed the wall to be drilled.
