A 106-year-old tattoo artist showed she still has plenty of moves left in her - gracefully bursting into a tribal dance at a relative's wedding.

Whang Od Oggay - who also recently became the oldest person to be on a Vogue Magazine cover - attended the event with dozens of others from her remote community in Kalinga province, the Philippines, on June 2.

Footage shows Whang Od at the merry union swaying to the gong beats while making sophisticated hand gestures.

She did the movements while dancing around a circle, joined by others in an uplifting community dance.

Photographer Mike Santiago said: ‘A wedding there lasts for three days. It was an amazing thing to witness.'

The Filipina centenarian was born on February 17, 1917, and is the world's oldest tattoo artist. She is from the Butbut people, an indigenous tribe in the Kalinga region of the country.

Whang Od has been tattooing for the past 80 years - including head hunters of the indigenous tribe, at the beginning of her long career.

The elderly woman is still tattooing today and said she is determined to pass on her knowledge to the next generation.
