"I witnessed a high-speed police chase of an armed carjacker in West Oakland on July 26. A speeding police car was broadsided by the speeding stolen van on 34th and West. In the resulting collision, a fire hydrant was hit and both cars almost killed me and my friend where we stood on the corner. I managed to jump out of the way just in time," said the filmer of this wild clip.

Multiple people and cars were involved in the armed carjacking and were being pursued by authorities, including three BMWs. One other person has been detained thus far.

"The suspect / driver can be seen thrown from the van if you watch frame by frame. He ended up suffering what looks like a traumatic brain injury, as other published videos show him experiencing seizure-like symptoms following the crash. He and the driver of the police car were taken to the hospital," said the filmer.
