Uni students compete for the fastest of drilling wood for fire

An interesting video has emerged from China of some university students adopting a variety of methods of drilling wood to set on fire in a unusual competition.

The footage, filmed at a university campus in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in late October, shows the students working hard in groups on their reshaped wooden tools to compete to be the first fire-maker.

According to news reports, the contest was together held by the university and a local museum, aiming to promote the idea of a simple lifestyle. More than 300 students reportedly attended the event.
