The Capinoteno population responded positively today during the experimental census carried out by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in the Cochabamba municipality of Capinota, with the aim of validating the census ballot, statistical instruments, methodologies, logistics and time.
The results of the experimental census will allow the INE to make the necessary adjustments with a view to the Population and Housing Census scheduled for March 23, 2024.
The activity began at 07:00 and was attended by the executive general director of the INE, Humberto Arandia, as well as the general coordinator of the Population and Housing Census, Martha Oviedo; the departmental manager of the INE Cochabamba, Gonzalo Veizaga; the mayor of Capinota, Nancy Colque; and the president of the Municipal Council of Capinota, Mario Rojas.

"The 1,462 volunteer interviewers visited all the houses in the urban area, in relation to the dispersed area, which will continue working until Monday," Arandia reported.

The Police and the Armed Forces carried out the controls for compliance with the order of good governance, which lasts until 00:00 July 30.
