A K-Max Helicopter dipped a water bucket from Game Lake to aid in the containment efforts of the Flat Fire.

Aerial resources played a crucial role in reinforcing control measures by dropping retardant along the southern perimeter, 2 miles southeast of Agness, Oregon on July 27.

Helicopters further supported firefighting efforts by dropping water buckets along the southeast perimeter to moderate fire behaviour and slow its eastward progression.

Taking advantage of favourable weather conditions, firefighters conducted firing operations to secure additional control lines along Forest Road (FR) 3680 towards the Snow Camp area.

Four rappellers were also deployed to address a small spot fire along the southeastern edge of the main fire which helped cool down heat areas and manage the wildfire.
