Osprey tangled in treetop rescued in Virginia
An osprey ensnared in a treetop was rescued by an emergency crew in Virginia.
Fairfax Animal Protection Police sought the assistance of the fire and rescue team, who brought in a ladder truck to reach the distressed bird perched atop the tree on July 21.
The teams successfully freed the osprey from its entanglement, ensuring its safety.
However, upon attempting to fly, the osprey encountered difficulties and could not take flight.
Officials decided to take the bird to a nearby veterinarian's office for further treatment and care.
The Fairfax County Fire Department praised the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in this heartwarming rescue. The osprey is now being nursed back to health by authorities.
