Japan: Powerful Typhoon Khanun Brings Torrential Rain, Dangerous Winds To Okinawa Islands And Southern Kyushu
At least one person died, and dozens were injured as Typhoon Khanun, locally named Typhoon No. 6, hurtled near the Okinawa islands and southern Kyushu on Wednesday, August 2.
Heavy rains caused flooding, violent winds overturned vehicles and knocked down trees and power lines, leaving about 210,000 homes without power.
