The mystery of house lights in Indonesia that often go out suddenly was solved after a pet cat was caught on camera biting the light switch.

The homeowner, Amrina Dina (35), said that the lights in her living room often went out abruptly both day and night.

“We didn’t know why the lights turned off by themselves,” Dina said.

The mystery was revealed recently after her cat named Nono was seen biting the light switch.

The 1-year-old tomcat scratched his itchy cheek and neck using the light switch, causing the switch to turn off and the lights to go out.

The incident was filmed by Dina at her house in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra Province on July 16.

Dina said that she was not angry at Nono because she considered him as a family member.

“Nono is very cute. He likes to play with anything,” Dina said.
