This is the heroic moment a brave cashier foiled a mugging attempt at a fuel station in the Philippines.

The female employee was sitting at the counter with her colleagues when a pair of motorcycle riders pulled up to the fuel pump in Hilongos town, Leyte province, on July 30.

One of the men in a green jacket approached the table with a gun in his hand, sparking panic as some of the workers ran away. But one woman in a black shirt held her ground and charged at the mugger instead.

CCTV footage shows how the bulky lady charged like a bull at the would-be thief, sending him scurrying away from the station. She then turned to his bungling companion - seen stumbling to escape on the motorcycle - to attack him as well.

With the muggers vanquished, the cashier gleefully clapped her hands in triumph as the other women ran inside the office to call the police.

Hilongos Town police officers said they nabbed one of the men, who was found running in a nearby grassy field. Cops were still searching for his accomplice.
