STORYLINE:
Typhoon Doksuri has brought heavy rainfall to Beijing in the past few days.
The city recorded 744.8 millimeters of rain between Saturday and Wednesday, the highest since records began 140 years ago.
Among the hardest hit was Shangwan Village, Fangshan District located in the mountainous region in southwest Beijing.

"About five to six hours earlier before the heavy rainstorm hit Beijing on Saturday, the local authorities of Beijing's mountainous area started to relocate its residents to safe areas like here, the place where I am now in. Once it was a conference room for the village government. And now it has relocated about 88 people from 29 families."

"I came here with my grandpa and grandma."

"Yes. They gave us a call."

As the rainfall stopped and the flood receded, villagers started cleaning up the aftermath.
