Young unsung hero saved little girl in the water with life preserver
In northwestern China, a young man saved a little girl in the water by accurately throwing a life preserver.
The video filmed in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Aug 1 shows a local young man rescuing a little girl falling in the water by accurately throwing her a life preserver, while his father stands on the bridge trying to pull the girl in with a long fishing pole. The young man's calm and professional approach has won the appreciation of netizens.
According to the filmer, the little girl was swept into the whirlpool under the bridge when she went there for a swim with her parents. The rising water and swift currents from the recent rains were probably responsible for the accident. At the time of the video's posting, the little girl had already followed her family home after being rescued safely.
