Hiroshima marked the 78th anniversary of its atomic bombing by the United States on Sunday, August 6. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and representatives from 111 countries attended the annual Peace Memorial Ceremony.

At just 8:15 a.m. (JST), the time that the bomb was dropped, a peace bell tolled across the city, and people in and outside the ceremony observed a moment of silence.
