Hundreds of British-Indian women dazzle in London Saree Walkathon
Around 500 ladies shone in colourful handmade sarees on the eve of the National Handloom Day, marked in India, celebrating and paying tribute to the weaving community in London (August 6).
Groups of women representing different states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerela, Tamil Nadu and others, danced as they wore unique regional designs, opposite Downing Street before they completed their 'walkathon' from Trafalgar Square up to Parliament Square.
