An out-of-control truck crashed through an office wall injuring workers when its its brakes failed.

Lorry driver Manop Taennarin, 42, and his wife Jamnian Lerkdee, 45, were traveling to Sing Buri province in Thailand, having finished a rice delivery to Bangkok on July 30.

As they were approaching a bridge over a floodgate, Manop lost control of the wheel, grazing the guardrails before smashing into the Yang Manee Water Distribution and Maintenance Office in Ang Thong province.

CCTV footage shows how the truck narrowly missed two people fishing on the bridge, with the vehicle racing out of control towards the building.

Pho Thong district police arrived to inspect the crash site, finding Jamnian with injuries on her lips and face. She was rushed to the Phothong Hospital and is safe.

Several other workers inside the building suffered minor injuries but were able to walk away from the crash.

The 10-wheeler's front was found severely damaged, while debris and broken glass shards littered the area.

Police Major Somchai Phusilit of the Pho Thong Police Station said: 'The driver told us his brakes suddenly malfunctioned, and he could not press the pedal down. He said he drove around 300 metres while trying to control the truck before the crash.'

Security guard Sian, 54, said he was surprised upon seeing the oncoming truck barreling toward the office at high speed after avoiding the fishermen on the bridge.

Sai, a grilled chicken vendor running a stall nearby, said she warned her customers to flee when she saw the vehicle approaching.

Officers said they were gathering evidence to find the cause of the crash, and will question Manop in accordance with the legal process.
