Two begpackers were seen selling items outside the Sukhumvit MRT subway station exit in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 5.

The term 'begpacking' has emerged in recent years to describe backpackers who beg for money to fund their travels - usually through semi-developed countries in Asia.

Begpackers are typically young and from Western counties with a higher GDP than where they are asking locals for cash.

Begpacking is also illegal as many of the countries require proper visas and paperwork to begin earning money in their jurisdiction.
