Footage shows a large explosion when a Ukrainian drone dropped a bomb on a Russian target on the battlefield.

The footage shows the drone hovering above the battlefield before releasing its load. The bomb can be seen plummeting towards the ground before erupting in a huge explosion.

The images were obtained from the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, August 6, along with a statement saying: 'Everything here is impressive: the supernatural vision of the scouts who saw the target, the fantastic piloting of the drone by the operator and, as a result, an incredibly effective impression on the target!'

The images were also relayed by the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Monday, August 7, along with a statement saying: 'The aerial scouts of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of Mariupol impress with skillful piloting, the ability to spot an enemy target, and a demonstration of a reference drop, which in total resulted in effective damage to the target.'
