Weight Loss Man Magnet - WITH VIDEO
By Sophie Jones
**EXCLUSIVE**
THIS WOMAN was once called a 'fat cow' but has now become a MAGNET for shallow men after losing more than 12 stone.
Cheryne Guebbas (28) from Montbéliard, France, was 25 stone at her heaviest and her earliest memories of being mocked for her weight goes back to when she was just six years old and already weighed seven stone.
Since 2021, she has lost 12-and-a-half stone over a period of just two years and six months after having gastric bypass surgery and working out nearly every day.
Because of her strength training, she has not had to have restorative surgery for excess skin.
Cheryne honestly believed she was healthy before the weight loss, although walking and getting dressed gradually became more difficult.
But one day Cheryne took her older son, Abdal-Malick, now aged six, to a soft play centre with climbing, slides, and ball pools.
She lost sight of him while he was playing and panicked, realising she was unable to climb inside the play area to look for him.
Luckily, he was absolutely fine but the incident worried Cheryne.
The mum-of-two decided to take drastic action and had gastric bypass surgery after deciding the risks of complications and side effects were outweighed by the potential benefits to her health and mobility.
Cheryne became pregnant just three months after the operation and her surgeon was convinced she would be unable to lose weight.
But Cheryne was determined and, despite giving birth to her second son, Luqman, now aged two, and separating from her husband, she stuck to a strict gym regime.
Cheryne exercised every day for 90 minutes, working her arms on Mondays, thighs and buttocks on Tuesdays, and her back on Wednesdays.
Now, she is happier than ever.
“The only drawback I can think of is that, with the weight loss, men are more attracted to my looks than to my personality, which doesn't necessarily suit me," she said.
“They openly say that ‘I'm good’ or they'd like to ‘see me in bed.’”
Cheryne said she will just ignore these outrageous comments and put on her AirPods to show she is not interested.
“I realised when I lost weight that most people are interested in looks, not personality,” she said.
“After that, there are exceptions to everything.
“It's up to me to find the rare pearl.”
After surgery, Cheryne's diet radically changed and she no longer had an appetite for large meals, despite previously binging on McDonald's takeaways and all kinds of unhealthy foods.
“I really ate everything I could find,” Cheryne said.
“I could nibble on two pizzas, packets of potato chips, chocolates galore, and go on to eat normally straight afterwards.
“I didn't feel satiated. I never went to the gym.
“I've always been overweight. At the age of six I already weighed 45 kilos (seven stone).
“At school everyone made fun of me, so I took refuge in food.
“I used to snack a lot on the sly. As a teenager, I quickly topped the 100kg mark (15 stone and 10 pounds) reaching 125kg (19 stone and 10 pounds).”
Cheryne has experienced bullying, both in-person and on social media.
“I have to admit that, at first, it affected me enormously and I cried in secret, but then I realized that some people hide behind a profile to attack gratuitously,” she said.
“Aren't you ashamed to show this picture? How come you're married with that weight? Or the more well-known ‘fat cow’.
“Sometimes it's more subtle, like, ‘Too bad, you've got a beautiful face’, ‘You'd be so beautiful if you were thin.’”
“That's when I said to myself ‘OK Cheryne, it's the social networks, they don't pay your bills, they don't know your story, so go.’”
Cheryne now does strength training almost daily, working a different part of her body each day.
“The operation is by no means magical,” she said.
“If you don't change your eating habits or even your daily routine, the operation is a failure.
“From the moment I had the operation, I went to the gym every day after dropping off my son.
“Mondays I worked on my arms, Tuesdays on my thighs and buttocks, and Wednesdays on my back.
“And there were targeted 1h30 sessions from Monday to Friday.
“My diet has changed a lot too, as the operation has enabled me to eat a lot less.
“For example, it's impossible for me to finish a McDonald's Menu, even a happy meal.”
Nowadays, Cheryne often gets by with just a coffee for breakfast and then has a balanced lunch and dinner with essential carbohydrates, vegetables, fats, and proteins.
The changes to her health have been enormous.
“I can walk 20 km (12 miles) a day without feeling tired or out of breath,” she said.
“And, most importantly, I can finally play with my children normally."
