This is the moment a lorry smashed into a bridge on a dual carriageway.

The lorry was on the A13 heading eastbound at the Wennington interchange in Havering at around 12pm on Tuesday (08/08) when the incident occurred.

Dashcam footage from a separate vehicle shows the top of the lorry collide with the bridge due to the height of its load.

Debris is then scattered everywhere as the driver desperately tries to prevent his lorry

from veering off the road or into other traffic.

After the crash, Essex Police said that no injuries had been reported but the bridge was damaged

The road was subsequently closed for eight hours causing severe delays, however it did re-open overnight following extensive repair works to fix the bridge.
