Footage shows Ukrainian special forces snipers taking out Russian soldiers near Bakhmut.

The video, shot through the scope of a sniper rifle, shows two Russian soldiers being taken out by a Ukrainian sniper with pinpoint precision.

The images were obtained from the 8th Special Purpose Regiment of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) named after Prince Izyaslav Mstislavich of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, 10th August, along with a statement saying: 'In the area of Bakhmut, SSO snipers noticed the movement of enemy manpower. As a result of the work, two occupiers were destroyed.'

The images and statement were also relayed by the Command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
