While security is lax at other times of the year, security is heightened on the eve of Independence Day. In this context, RPF and GRP conducted surveillance with dog squad on August 11. The most important NJP station in North East India has been noticed throughout the year with extreme security issues. On entering the station, the first thing everyone notices is the broken scanner machine. On entering the platform of the station, only the GRP and RPF personnel on duty will be seen. After checking security with dog squad in two important trains, there is not even a hint of security in other trains. However, making the important day like Independence Day a kind of event, the security guards of the railways, dressed in uniforms, carried out vigilance. This year was no exception. Such vigilance was seen by everyone on Friday morning. Railway sources informed that this vigilance will be carried out till Independence Day.
